Internet advertising, specifically Google AdWords seems to change on a regular basis. From Google's constantly changing search algorithm to different practices suddenly labeled black hat, it can be somewhat time-consuming staying a breast of the ever changing online advertising and social media advertising worlds.
Below is a list of 7 Pay-Per-Click Advertising Best Practices from LA's only online business advertising and social media marketing agency for small business, RNA-Consulting!
1. Network Targeting - Take into account the benefits of both search and display networks. I am not the biggest fan of the display network, but that doesn't mean I won't!
2. Location Targeting - Focus on the most effective area/areas.
3. Conversion Tracking - Focus on the keywords and ads that are most effective and continually A/B test.
4. Multiple Text Ads - Multiple ads in your ad groups will lead to much higher quality scores.
5. Modified Broad Match Keywords - Take advantage of the new updates (MBM should make up 60% of your KW's).
6. Negative Keywords - Reduces Irrelevant clicks, saving $$ (Negative should make up 10% of your KW's).
7. Ad Extensions - EVERYONE should be taking advantage of ad extensions! No matter your business, there is an ad extension. You can't go wrong with more real estate & a massive CTR increase, can you?
